Clinton River Watershed Council seeks artistic submissions for annual River Day logo contest – Daily Tribune

The Clinton River Watershed Council (CRWC) has announced that it is accepting submissions for its 24th annual River Day logo design contest.

The 2022 winning logo will be used to promote River Day, which will be held June 11 at locations along the Clinton River from Springfield Township to Harrison Township in Macomb County, where the river meets the lake Saint Claire. The annual event helps promote the CRWC’s goal of protecting and improving the water quality of the Clinton River watershed.

River Day coincides with Michigan Free Fishing Weekend and Great Lakes and Freshwater Week. Activities are planned throughout the month of June including: festivals, fishing tournaments, fly tying classes, clean up events and native plant sales.

The winning River Day logo will be used on T-shirts, event guides and on the CRWC website. The winner will receive an official River Day t-shirt with their design and a one-year membership in the watershed council.

Artists must reside within the Clinton River watershed (Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair and Lapeer counties). The logo must include the words “2022 River Day”, be in black and white (no gray tones), have a resolution of 300 dpi or higher, and be a JPEG or TIFF file. Send electronic submissions by email to [email protected] by April 1. Paper submissions should be no larger than a letter-sized sheet of paper and can be delivered by hand or mail to CRWC, 1115 W Avon Road, Rochester Hills, 48309.
