Giant light-based art installations take over CBD for SPARK Ipswich


When the sun goes down, SPARK AFTER DARK comes to life with projections, light activations, music and performances. Gather your family and friends and explore deLight and Pixel on foot or take in the light show from Luminate – the new festival hub in Timothy Molony Park.

St. Mary’s Church, Woodd
For 11 nights, St Mary’s Church is the stunning backdrop and transforms into a work of projection art, profiling the heritage architecture of local artists and the culture of Ipswich, its people and places.

Participating local artists include Kylie Hill, Jacob Sarra, Jarryd Lawton, Jennifer Kent, Rebecca Lewis, Lee FullARTon, Colin Mac, Kenneth Gavin Lewis, Glen Smith and Jessica Andersen.

Tulmur Square, 1 Nicholas Street, Ipswich

The University of Southern Queensland’s Interactive Design and Technologies team explore human-machine connection in an immersive light experience on the Ipswich City Council building, 1 Nicholas Street.

25 years of foundation of the Ipswich Art Gallery: May 24 to July 24
