Participants of the logo design contest receive certificates

The Authority for Building Control and the Construction Industry (ABCi) of the Ministry of Development (MoD) held an award ceremony and presentation of certificates of appreciation to participants of the Logo Competition for the Prize of the Construction Industry (ACIP) at Indera Pahlawan Hall of the ABCi Building, Berakas.

Present as guest of honor was Acting Permanent Secretary (Infrastructure, Housing and Professional) MoD Sr Hajah Norhayati binti Haji Mohd Yaakub.

The Outstanding Construction Industry (ACIP) Award has been established in recognition of MoD-registered contractor companies that exhibit excellent performance and quality in line with the MoD’s Strategic Planning Plan 2018-2023, within the aim to support the development of local businesses and the construction industry.

The ACIP Working Committee, through the ABCi, organized a competition especially for Politeknik Brunei students to create the ACIP logo.

The competition was open from February 18, 2021 to March 20, 2022, attracting a total of 25 entries from 14 entrants. The successful participants created a logo according to the criteria, the shape and the theme that had been defined, in accordance with the concepts of the ACIP.

Also present at the ceremony were the Acting Director General of Public Works and the Working Committee of ACIP, comprising the Ministry of Environment, Parks and Recreation, Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brunei and the Institution of Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) Brunei.
