Utah Jazz Set to Host 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend

SALT LAKE CITY – With the conclusion of the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend in Cleveland, the Utah Jazz will now begin preparing to host the weekend event next season for the first time since 1993.

In 2019, and still under the leadership of the Miller family, the Utah Jazz were awarded the 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend at a press conference with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

“It’s an honor to be here, and it’s an honor for me to announce that the 2023 All-Star Game will be held in Salt Lake City,” Silver said at the press conference in 2019.” Big events and sports are part of the DNA of this state and part of this city. So many important NBA events, finals have been held here over the years. It’s a great partnership that we have between the city and the state, the Utah Jazz organization and the league.

Now, about three years later, new Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith and the organization previewed the logo on Twitter along with a video and image including the design.

The All-Star logo design features an iconic mountain landscape with the Jazz note and the word “Utah”. He also hints at the team’s upcoming change to the color scheme, likely slated for next season, which will include black, yellow and white colors.

Along with the teams video announcement, Smith also added his own tweet with an image of the logo on a basketball and said, “It starts now. @NBAAllstar 2023 WELCOME TO UTAH! Jazz Nation will show how it’s done.

The 2023 Utah All-Star Game is scheduled for Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Vivint Arena.
